Moon Moves into Virgo; Makes a Square to Mars & a Conjunction with Saturn (July 24/25, 2009)
Moon is our emotional filter towards the world and how we might perceive people and events around us. When Moon is interacting with other impactful planets it will always be felt in some way. Keep in mind that the Moon moves through one sign about every two ½ days. It is our fastest moving planet and many people do feel the waxing and waning of the inner tides in sync with the outer Moon.
After the expansive high feelings of the Moon in Leo the last two days, Luna moves on into the more level headed astrological sign of Virgo.
Virgo Moon
Virgos have none of the fiery dominance of their summer predecessor, the Lion. They are reserved people who don’t boast about themselves or behave flamboyantly. They are quietly reliable, attending to the smallest details of any project in an organized way, making them good lawyers, doctors, and scientists.
That trait can be carried to a fault when they fail to see the bigger picture. They are more intelligent and analytical than emotional, which serves them well in complex tasks but may prevent them from establishing deep relationships. Virgos are practical people, good with their hands, and combining those qualities with their attention to detail they could excel in professions as jewelers and dentists.
As far as the Virgo Moon goes, our feelings will be intertwined with our reasoning mind and we might feel inspired to tackle some organizational chores like putting the garage or our desk in order; some kind of project which has been waiting for our attention. We will feel more in tune with focusing on details and take steps to implement changes if needed.
Moon Square to Mars
When Moon is moving into this square there will be a potential for irritation and impatience. Find a pathway for those more edgy emotions to let them flow into something useful! Cleaning the garage might be a great idea after all! It will give you a feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment and you can look foreword to a nice shower or bath afterwards.
Moon Conjunction with Saturn
The Moon in conjunction with Saturn will bring in a more somber note. Saturn represents restriction, boundaries, limitations, consolidation, slowing down or blocking the energy flow, and challenges us to have a look into our fears and unconscious structures. If we comply, we then experience clarity and the right course of action to take. What seemed to be a problem before isn’t one any longer.
We can give in to our fears and hesitancy and stay in bed with a good book or a blanket over our head. Or we can use Saturn in his capacity of bringing light, clarity and focus into our inner world and bring order into our garage in the outer world…
The Inner World Reflects the Outer World
The inner world is reflected in the outer world! The law of attraction can explain how we always attract what is aligned to our vibration.
Every journey starts from where you are. Only if you become aware of the feeling you have, you will then have the conscious choice of redirecting your focus towards better thoughts and feelings. That can become a practice for your mind!
“You are always molding yourselves into a better feeling place. And you will never get it done. It will never be completely finished. It will never be absolutely right. You will always have some dominant thoughts that are not a vibrational match to the newfound desire. But that is always what your work is. And it’s time for you to just begin relaxing about it, and not make it a personal issue of your own valor, or your own value, or your own integrity.” — Abraham- Hicks
The Moon teaches Us about Impermanence
Nothing is going on forever! Remember the aspects with the Moon are very swift and may be changing in hours to a new and different quality and perspective. Naming them and looking at them with consciousness is just a good way to allow the flow of life with all its different challenges and qualities to move through without resistance. The gift of astrology to us is to release resistance to what is but focus instead onto where we want to go and how we want that quality to play out in our life.
Astrology used that way is a journey of inquiry and self-growth and is giving us a feeling of interconnectedness with the whole universe and mankind. I like that! I have been practicing astrology now for 31 years and have always come back to it and found it extremely valuable in its practical applications for my life!

After a decade of waiting, the Apple tablet is finally here, and reactions across the Internet are mixed, to say the least. Sure, there’s always a bit of widespread deflation after a launch with so much hype behind it; nonetheless, the range of attitudes towards the iPad goes from “it’s a great tablet, but I’ll have to wait and see about the ‘revolution’ part,” to “I’m so disappointed that it’s just a giant iPod touch.” Missing is the near-universal “Apple has changed the game” sentiment that followed the launch of the iPhone. None of this is to say that the iPad won’t fundamentally change the game. It’s just that this launch is closer to that of the original iPod—the idea itself isn’t exactly new, competing offerings seem arguably better in some respects, and Apple will have to set itself apart from the pack by delivering a superior user and e-commerce experience. In other words, the iPad isn’t going to waltz in and just change the world, the way that its smaller predecessor, the…

Saturn conjunct Moon
The Saturn-Moon combination is not a particularly harmonious one; and in these contacts the individual lunar nature is often detrimentally affected.
You can display a sombre, self-restrained, conservative personality. Your social relationships can lack spontaneity, enthusiasm, and naturalness, inhibited by emotional defensiveness, reserve, and caution. Relaxed communication and self-expression can be difficult. Apprehension may restrict social contact, perhaps with an attitude of distrust and pessimism toward life and people. If this limiting and negative worldview exists, then you will also block the release of potential and diminish life enjoyment.
Self-esteem is weakened by such attitudes, which fall like a shadow across your relationships and experiences. One source of this may have been childhood and early social conditioning. Perhaps early childhood was influenced by family discipline, either through authoritarian controls, or through imposed religious, political, or social beliefs. Perhaps there were family upheavals and unsettling discord, or strong feelings that you were not really wanted or loved by your parents, whether or not this was actually true. This may have resulted in a fear of emotional expression, to others and even to yourself. This, coupled with a need to protect your sensitivity, has associated emotions with painful 'negative experiences'. In adult life, there may be one parent toward whom you still feel resentment, deeply contradictory attitudes, and powerful emotions.
Emotional integration can be lacking; it is part of your nature that remains uncomfortable and relatively immature, and which will interfere with adult relationships that may prove difficult to develop beyond the early stages. A lack of self-confidence, and reluctance to reveal your vulnerable feelings to others, make you withdraw into negative behaviour patterns whenever the possibility of a close relationship occurs. You need to open to intimacy, and face possible rejection in the hope of moving toward potential success; you need to learn how to trust others. Then you can break free from your self-imposed prison. Obviously, making suitable relationship choices is a key requirement; and cautious discernment is necessary in choosing friends and intimates.

These natives tend to be 'other-worldly' and visionary, and not always practical with regard to work and public reputation. They are elusive and hard to pin down in professional matters. Peculiar conditions are sometimes associated with their jobs and reputations, and there is always an element of mystery in their professional activity.
